A melody from Keffa
Basecamp features Zema Washed from Dinkalem Ademe’s farm near Bita, in Ethiopia’s Keffa zone. Sourced through Swift Coffee Sourcing, this lot comes from a single farm and a single harvest.
Zema is an Amharic word meaning melody or sacred song. Swift chose the name to celebrate its team’s connection to music and the character of Ethiopian coffee.
Dinkalem’s farm includes coffee plots surrounded by extensive forest. His focus is on caring for the land, renewing older coffee trees, and building opportunities for neighboring growers.
We roast this coffee to highlight its brightness and delicate floral character, giving Basecamp a refreshing place in your morning routine.

Used to live in Chattanooga area and enjoyed going to Mayfly coffee to try all of the different varieties and roasts they offer. I moved to Detroit area and still order the coffee online when I can. Great place, great coffee, always freshly roasted, very reliable deliveries. Would recommend trying them all. Base camp is my favorite.
I've never been disappointed by any Mayfly Coffee I've tried, but the Basecamp Tanzania might be the best they've roasted yet! Good strong flavor with nice fruity notes (like a Tanzania should be), but not too overpowering or bitter. Great way to start the day!
